Weekend Getaway

Parc national d'Oka - Forêt

A weekend away from the bustling city, spent at Parc national d’Oka.

It’s not the most awesome park, but when you need some time off, it’s nice to find out there’s a national park only one hour from Montréal. We were surrounded by giant trees in the forest and annoying mosquitoes, and experienced quietness at its finest. I love when the light reflects the leaves. We ate grilled corns, tasty sausages, bread from Hof Kelsten and s’mores (obviously) under the stars. It was kind of a luxurious camping since we rented an Huttopia tent. Comfortable mattresses, living room, wine cups, even heating and no need to set up a tent. For us lazy folks. Easy breezy.
