Food, Montréal, Restaurants, Villeray

Trilogie - Sylvie Li -1-2

I’ve wanted to go to Trilogie since the first photos of the restaurant popped up here and there on my Instagram feed. It finally happened two weeks ago, and I went with both my sister and her boyfriend. In case you didn’t notice, we love to catch up over a good meal. So we ordered the umami dumplings (cabbage & pork), the Hunan wontons, the mushroom salad, the cucumber salad and the chicken dumplings. Everything was so. delicious. We were pretty much starving, so I didn’t take as many photos as I would normally, sorry!

The dumplings took me straight back to this little restaurant in Shanghai where I used to order some for lunch (or xiaolongbao, another version of dumplings, filled with soup in them). The food is hearty, simple yet tasty. The cucumber salad, Hunan wontons and umami dumplings were among my favourite dishes. And did I mention the decoration? It’s minimalist, there are flowers on the tables and plants by the window – so right up my alley – and it’s just too beautiful not to take photos. Trilogie is definitely a must if you’re in the neighbourhood. I’d say it’s well worth the trip too. You know, to get your Chinese food fix. I’d go back probably every week, now I only wish it was closer to my home…

p.s. it was lovely meeting you, Anita!
