I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas time. I’ve been a little unproductive on the side lately and I still have tons of work to get done… Yikes. It’s been a while since my last travel post, so I thought it was the right time to share some sticky, wet and sunny pictures of my stay in Vietnam to escape this dreary month of November. Let’s get started with Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). I can’t describe my first impression of the city, but oh well, I didn’t like it much at first sight. There were thousands of scooters hitting the streets, it was hot, humid and very noisy, and there were just too many people at once for my taste… But as the days went by, I appreciated more the liveliness and vibrancy of HCMC. We stayed a bit longer than previously planned, as we arrived right in the middle of Chinese New Year: trains and buses seats were all reserved well ahead. We managed to visit the main attractions and temples, eat delicious pho at Pho Anh (thanks Cindy!) and enjoy a boat ride on Mekong river. That’s a pretty good start. Continue Reading…
